STAIND: End-Of-Tour Video Recap
December 29, 2011Massachusetts rockers STAIND have posted a 10-minute end-of-tour recap video. Check it out below.
STAIND recently made it official that Sal Giancarelli, the band's drum tech for the past 12 years, was taking over for original drummer Jon Wysocki.
Wysocki left STAIND after 17 years of service following the completion of the band's self-titled, seventh studio album. His exit marked the first personnel change in STAIND's history. Guitarist Mike Mushok explained in a recent interview that it was a difficult decision to make. "It wasn't easy, you know," he said. "It was a really long, long process to finally get to the point where we were like, 'Okay, not in the band anymore.' And it dragged on for a long time. But ultimately, I mean, it's kind of what I think we had to do."
"Staind" sold 47,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No, 5 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "The Illusion Of Progress", opened with 92,000 units to debut at No. 3.
STAIND topped the chart with 2001's "Break The Cycle", 2003's "14 Shades Of Grey", and 2005's "Chapter V".
